Get ready for a high energy, uplifting musical experience that blends captivating virtuosity and heartfelt sincerity. With an eclectic musical style ranging from Blues to Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz to Western Swing, Country, Rock and Gospel, Horseshoe Road blends them into an earthy genre of music they call, Heartland Acoustic. Full of surprises, the group's passion for music can be seen in their performance. The CHK|Central Boathouse serves as a live music venue and an art gallery, establishing it as a unique presence "where art meets the river" in the growing Boathouse District. It is also home to the University of Central Oklahoma's women's rowing team. As UCO's Musical Ambassador, Kyle is proud to call this beautiful jewel on the River his official performance venue. In 2008, Horseshoe Road completed a U.S. Embassy sponsored tour of Thailand, which commemorated the 175th anniversary of relations between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Thailand. It was the first time an American band had ever performed in four of the five cities they toured. They celebrated Oklahoma's centennial internationally through their performances with a tour of Japan and Thailand. They also filmed a documentary of this tour as an official OK Centennial Project, and performed 32 shows at the 2000 Oklahoma State Fair Centennial Expo at the Oklahoman Stage. Opening for the Oak Ridge Boys was one of the many highlights of 2012, as well as the Charlie Daniels Band in 2013. Kyle and Horseshoe Road were selected by the U.S. State Department for a month-long world tour through Taiwan, South Korea, Burma and Russia as part of their American Music Abroad program. Out of 300 bands nationwide, Horseshoe Road was one of 12 chosen for the 2012-2013 season. In 2014, Kyle and Horseshoe Road completed a 16-day tour through Liberia, which included a performance for the president of Liberia. 2015 began with a fiery performance at the Oklahoma Governor's Inaugural Ball. While still in high school, Kyle was featured with Roy Clarke and twice on Nashville's Grand Ole Opry. He later toured with western-swing legend, Hank Thompson. He has performed for the King of Malaysia, the Princess of Thailand, Singapore's National Day Celebration, and his performance at the Beijing Central Conservatory was broadcast on Chinese national television. A frequent visitor to Washington D.C, he has performed for the Japanese, Thai and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors, to name a few. Kyle has taken his music to over 30 countries earning him the title of "Oklahoma's Musical Ambassador." Kyle is also an Oklahoma Creativity Ambassador and was a 2009 recipient of the Oklahoma Governor's Art's Award. He works as the Musical Ambassador in Residence at the University of Central Oklahoma, using his "musical diplomacy" to help develop and strengthen new overseas partnerships for the university.
